    For many years we've talked about an 8WD vehicle configuration for heavy towing jobs or pushing through thick snow. Well now we've done it! The front of Defender 2 has been modified with towbar receiver, pintle couplings and a solid tow linkage. This enabled us to link two vehicles hauling a luggage trailer up steep, slippery hills on a recent overnight camping trip for 26 school-girls.

DEEP CREEK. Mon 2/1/12 (New Year holiday). Features boulder crawling along a creek north of Walhalla. Hear stories of past misadventures and accept the challenge of this area. Pricing $110/vehicle tag-along (Past customers $100).

VICTORIAN 4WD SHOW. Sun 19/2/12. Wandin, near Lilydale. We are on stand 54 and hope to have our restored 1968 SWB V8 Land Rover (originally Ron's first car) on display.

D-DAY AT RAWSON. Sat 3/3/12 morning: Phoenix Paintball re-enactment at Mountain Rivers Lodge. Afternoon: MTE vehicle display at Morwell Community Playground Anniversary, McLean St. Spectator free entry to both events.

RINTOULS REVENGE. Sun 11/3/12. Negotiating a route around tricky gullies and mud traps north of Traralgon. Pricing $110/vehicle tag-along (Past customers $100).

JERICHO GOLDFIELDS. Wed 25/4/12 (Anzac Day). Discover the history of the remote Jordan and Upper Thomson rivers. Try your luck with gold pan or metal detector. Pricing as above.

GLENMAGGIE GORGE FOREST EDGE. Sat 5/5/12. Amazing views as we tiptoe along the edge of a little-known forest area.

Camping Trips:
BEYOND BENAMBRA. Mon~Fri 9~13/1/12. Cool mountain peaks of the far north-east. We'll see spectacular views towards Mt Kosciusko, revisit some of the haunts of cattle-duffer Jimmy Lee, and enjoy some great campsites where brumbies may visit. Pricing $350/vehicle tag-along (Past customers $300).

UPPER SNOWY. Fri~Mon 6~9/4/12 (Easter). Escape the holiday crowds as we explore remote and rugged tracks around the Snowy River and Mt Tingaringy. Thursday night start. Pricing $350/vehicle tag-along (Past customers $300).

Driver training:
CERTIFICATE COURSES. Sat~Sun, 25~26/2/12, 14~15/4/12, 12~13/5/12 & 2~3/6/12. Advanced skills training that requires no previous knowledge! This two day residential course includes entertaining classroom presentations and practical field exercises relevant to your 4WD vehicle. Learn from accidents and rescues that have happened to others, so you don't repeat them! Pricing $200/participant (includes training booklet), partners $50, optional accommodation $90/night (motel unit, double/single).
