Mini-bus or mini-coach from Latrobe valley. Inquiries & bookings: Christine 5134 6877

June 2011
To meet increasing demand for a larger mini-bus we have purchased a Mitsubishi Rosa. However this is no ordinary Rosa. Originally owned by Gippsland Getaway Tours, they took a brand new 24-seat vehicle, stripped it internally, and rebuilt it as a luxury mini-coach including more spacious recliner seating (now seats 21-passengers), overhead luggage racks, ducted aircon, and TV/video player. Suspension has been replaced with plush airbags and the driver gets special seating too. In addition it has a custom-built luggage/catering trailer. This vehicle has been maintained in immaculate condition and is available as a hire-drive unit for drivers with a Light Rigid truck licence. It also will be useful for our Cruise Ship excursions and Airport bus services, and Christine is keen to get some Tours Inspired by Gippsland happening as well.

June 2010
We are delighted to welcome Dr Christine Sindt to the MTE team as manager of the mini-bus business.

The mini-bus business has been growing steadily over the last couple of years, while at the same time Murray (Muzz) Brown has been trying to retire from it!

Being from the Latrobe Valley originally, Christine's background is in chemistry, engineering and education, having taught at secondary and tertiary levels. She recently established a Sudanese school in association with the Gippsland Lutheran Church.

She also has certificates in business management, tourism (tour guiding), and information technology. She has experience with Toyota HiAce vehicles through her family's electrical business and university usage, and has obtained a Light Rigid Licence for larger buses.

We believe Christine has the right administrative and practical skills, together with the community networking and enthusiasm to develop this business into a full-time occupation. In particular she has the capacity to take on the industrial tour and educational opportunities which may open up through our negotiations which are now nearing conclusion.

Muzz has given us four years of faithful service as a part time employee, having met us through his involvement with Fusion Youth and Community work. At age 71, Muzz has retired to the Fusion village at Poatina, Tasmania, albeit taking a retired mini-bus with him!

Christine officially took over running the mini-bus business on the 1st May, 2010, based in the cottage at 45 McLean St, Morwell.and the phone number for this is now ours plus one:

ie.
5134 6877. This is now the number to contact for:
> Mini-bus hire
> Airport bus to Melbourne
> Mini-bus tours of Gippsland
Our Mt Baw Baw Transport Service, which we operate using 4WD vehicles, is still contacted through 5134 6876.

At the same time our fleet of mini-buses is being upgraded. A new 12-seater
Bus2 is replacing the old column-shift one. Another luxury 4WD mini-bus, Bus5 is now based at Mountain Rivers Lodge (Rawson) providing a transport service from Latrobe City to Walhalla and to Mt Baw Baw in winter. Plus due to popular demand we now have available an automatic 12-seater Bus6.
